  • Path through Gracias’ Historical Center

    The path through Gracias’ Historical Centre: its churches, the Royal Hearing of the Borders, Central Plaza, San Cristobal’s Fort, Casa Galeano, and the Botanical Garden, are around a three hour walk through streets filled with history and secrets, while either watching an amazing sunset or enjoying local gastronomy.

  • Path through Gracias’ Historical Center (2.5 Hours)

    • Starting point: Kiosk in Central Plaza.
    • For people who like history, this tour does not require much physical effort, on the contrary, if  you would like to entertain yourselves and enjoy with Gracias’ Colonial Architecture, we are waiting for you!
    • For this tour you might need comfortable clothing and shoes. We recommend that you bring a camera, SPF lotion, and an umbrella.
    • The path goes through 4 colonial churches in Gracias, the Royal Hearing of the Borders, Central Plaza, San Cristobal’s Fort, Casa Galeano, and the Botanical Garden.
  • Path through the Churches (1.5 Hours)

    • Just as we mentioned before, this tour does not require much physical effort, and it offers a true experience with Gracias’ Colonial Architecture.
    • Starting Point: Kiosk in Central Plaza.
    • For this tour you might need comfortable clothing and shoes. We recommend that you bring a camera, SPF lotion, and an umbrella. It is a path through 4 colonial churches in Gracias.
  • Celaque

    Eleven rivers in vertical position are born from the Celaque mountain, which can be seen from the mountain, it almost looks as if it was a water volcano. Arriving at the top, you can find yourself in the highest spot in Honduras: Cerro Las Minas.

  • Tour to Celaque

    You can get to the Centre for Visitors on foot or car. To get to great viewpoints, the waterfall, other campsites, and to the highest point, Cerro Las Minas, you may require physical effort, being that you walk through long paths.

    • For this tour you may need casual clothing, like jeans or shorts, a t-shirt, comfortable walking shoes, a cap or a hat.
    • We recommend you bring your own bottled water. Tour guides will show you where you can purchase bottled water in Gracias.
    • You should also bring, binoculars, camera, compass, lanterns, mosquito repellent, and SPF lotion. If you wish to sleep here, may we remind you that it gets very cold at night.
    • There are also other paths, one from San Manuel de Colohete, which is a three day tour.
      Another path is through Belen Gualcho, Ocotepeque, which is a five day tour.
  • Thermal Waters

    This place is open seven days a week. Locals prefer to go there at night, and even though there are not much people at those hours, the place turns into an attractive atmosphere.Thermal Waters- Via Pathway (on foot only one way).

    • Starting point (on foot): Kiosk in Central Plaza.
    • To get back to Gracias, you may hire a bus to take you, or you may also ask a local to give you a lift back to the city on car or on foot.
    • To be able to enjoy a pleasant walk filled with natural horizons before a warm and healthy bath, you may also get there on a car or a bus.

  • Lenca Pottery, (La Escuelona).

    At La Campa, we have pottery sales and with luck, you might be able to take the mud in your own hands and make your own pottery piece, the potters will show you how to do it.
